A Site Plan Review Application came in from H.H. Dobbins Inc. to build a cold storage on Millers Rd.  The building project will be 26,300 sq. ft.

Dan Wolfe – It is a permitted use in the industrial zone.  The site plan is very well done; just need the Short Environmental Assessment Form.  Dave D. Anniballe and Mr. Dobbins are here if there are any questions.

Mr. Dobbins handed the Short Environmental Assessment Form to Dan Wolfe.

Dan Wolfe - Is the new cold storage going to be controlled temperature?

Mr. Dobbins – Yes.  Will be 1200 amp service for the project.

Ralph Smith asked if there was any need for left hand turn.

Mr. Dobbins – No, not much traffic in and out.  There will be 3 employees year round.

Chairman Donald Lamay – Should not need a public hearing but will go to the County Planning Board.

A motion was made to move the application forward to the County.

Offered:     Richard Kurz

Seconded:  Ed Urbanik

Votes:  5 Ayes (Kurz, Urbanik, Lamay, Hughes, Smith)

Next Chairman Donald Lamay opened the floor for any questions regarding the wind energy project.

Glenn Maid who has a cottage on Chaffee Lane mentioned the application from Apex should go to the planning board.  Has that recommendation been forwarded to the planning board yet?

Chairman Donald Lamay mentioned that on December 9, 2014 there was an open house regarding the wind energy project.  According to the Town Supervisor John Belson, the final decision will not be the planning board but will be the town board.

Glenn Maid asked again if Apex gave the application to the planning board.

Chairman Donald Lamay – No

Mark Hughes – We’ve seen nothing

Glenn Maid – It’s all Agricultural/Residential District about 1 mile from the lake for the wind mills to go up.

Mary Hayes – They prey on small towns in need of money and before you know it, it slides right through the back door.  She is only a part time resident but absolutely loves it here.  Just don’t want to see something like this to come through and someday to be left rotting.

Chairman Donald Lamay asked if anyone had anything else regarding windmills.

There was nothing else.

NO FURTHER BUISNESS WAS DISCUSSED
