Chairman Donald Lamay thanked everyone for the well wishes and Ralph Smith for taking care of things while Don was out.

First on the agenda is a special use permit submitted by Harlan Stauffer for a Section 740 Home Business Class A to sell mattresses.

Dan Wolfe spoke on behalf of Harlan.  Harlan had the right intentions.  Dan mentioned that he did not catch it on the building permit.  When Harlan came in for a building permit to build the storage/shed type building, he did have it written on there.

Ralph Smith asked if there were utilities.

Harlan – No.

Ralph Smith asked if the port-a-pot was for use.

Harlan – Yes, if needed.

Dan Wolfe asked what his hours of operation were going to be.

Harlan – About 20 hrs. a week.

Dan Wolfe asked, are you going to advertise in the Pennysaver paper?

Harlan – Yes.

Ralph Smith asked if Harlan has any inventory.

Harlan – Display and storage only.  He would also like to put up a sign – would like the requirements.

Dan Wolfe – Will give the sign regulations from the Town.

Dan Wolfe asked how much Harlan was going to sell.

Harlan – Upon order.  The mattresses are made in Pennsylvania and shipped up here.

Chairman Donald Lamay asked the Board if they felt comfortable to move to have the Public Hearing next month.

The Planning Board was all in agreement.  Deputy Clerk Dawn Metty will set the Public Hearing for Tuesday July 1, 2014.

Chairman Donald Lamay thanked Harlan for coming in.

Chairman Donald Lamay spoke about the training coming up – if anyone would like to go, they can contact Dawn.

Dan Wolfe announced that Scott Peters was at the meeting.  He lives on Botsford Lane.

Scott Peters – Would like to build a 1,000 to 1,100 sq. ft. cottage.  Two pieces of properties were combined; there is already a cottage on there.  Looking for options from the Board.

Dan Wolfe – What about accessary structures?  Something to think about.

Ralph Smith – Single or 2 story?

Scott Peters – Single with loft.

Dan Wolfe – Would you separate the lot?

Scott Peters – It’s an option but would like to keep it the same.

Dan Wolfe – You would have to abide by all the regulations.

Chairman Donald Lamay – Let’s put this on the agenda for next month’s meeting.

Next Ralph Smith spoke briefly about the Park-way that runs from Lakeside Park to Rochester.  It’s in very bad condition.  It is a concern for travel and businesses.  He is going to look further into it.

NO FURTHER BUSINESS
